Ashby Tax & Consulting, LLC Named May 2018 Business of the Month!  Our May Business of the Month is Ashby Tax & Consulting, LLC.  Full-service accounting and consulting are the services they deliver to clients throughout the greater Rochester area. They hold the claim-to-fame within the Chamber for hosting our first and only (so far) "progressive" Coffee. When networking with Ashby Tax & Consulting, ask them about their green office.

They serve businesses, practices, and individuals, helping them work toward their success goals, through accounting, tax, financial planning, benefits, HR, and payroll services. Their active community involvement includes seven Chambers, United Way, JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, Small Business Council of Rochester's Backpack Give Back, and Thanksgiving food basket programs.

Revelations Design Studio is our March Business of the Month. Wendy Rugaber purchased and renamed the salon after working with her mother in the original salon business in Packett's Landing. They are known for their nine stylist choices, along with a nail tech and esthetician. Craftsmanship, techniques and personalization are their values. Wendy has also been a Paul Mitchell Educator for 26 years.

Pride Mark Homes named February 2018 Business of the Month!  Pride Mark Homes takes "pride" in its residential developments and the Fairport-Perinton Chamber takes "pride" in their being a Chamber member.  They have been named the Chamber's February Business of the Month.  Founder James R. Barbato started Pride Mark Homes 46 years ago and is now joined by his son, James P., plus 24 employees.  They build a diversity of residential style communities (green houses, senior living, assistive living, single family, apartments, town homes), plus light commercial buildings.  Their office is located on 1501 PIttsford Victor Road and they also have a design center, Inde, on Route 96, close to the Eastview Mall. Fairport Family Dental Named the January 2018 Business of the Month! The husband-wife team of Drs. Jeff and Mary Ann Panara founded Fairport Family Dental to pursue their shared passions of art, science, and service. Now, Fairport Family Dental is the January Fairport-Perinton Chamber Business of the Month.  They have reached this milestone with a quarter of a century service through the dental industry, with support from their loyal team. They are known for their state-of-the art equipment for quality service faster and patient comfort. You know them from active involvement in the Chamber, support of Fairport sports, as parishioners of St. John of Rochester, and by being patients!

Ameriprise Advisor, Katie Castro has been chosen as the December Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.  Katie has been a financial advisor since 2008 and specializes in divorce and elder transition.  She also has expertise in managing the costs of higher education, debt management, and savings strategies.  Katie is a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.  For the past 2 years, Katie has been the Chair of the Chamber's Membership Committee and recently was elected  Vice President of the Chamber.  Outside of the Chamber, Katie serves the community through Foundation for Women's Financial Education, The Advisory Panel on Successful Aging, Girl Scouts, PTA and Penfield Youth Sports.

Fairport Baptist Homes has been chosen as the November 2017 Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.   With a century of heritage, they provide our community with independent housing, senior living, assisted living, rehabilitation, skilled nursing care and in-home care. In addition to being active in our Chamber, Fairport Baptist Homes supports our community through the United Way and champions fundraisers to support their care of our seniors.

Tom Fortunato of Fitness Motivation has been chosen as the October Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.  Tom is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer operating Fitness Motivation in the Rochester New York area.  He loves anything to do with fitness and healthy living. Tom helps others be fit and to feel good about themselves. He believes that everyone, regardless of age, can stay physically active to the level that his or her body allows. Tom trains individuals and small groups.  His business has been thriving for the past twelve years.

Ellen Reynolds of AFLAC has been chosen as the September Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce. Ellen has been an Independent Agent with AFLAC for 18 years. She works with businesses in the Rochester area to provide solutions and benefit enhancements with supplemental insurance for their employees, such as Disability, Dental, Hospital, Cancer, Accident and Life Insurance. Ellen is on the Board of Directors of the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce. She has been a Chamber member for over a decade, and spent seven of those years coordinating Chamber events, serving on the Board as Event Chair.

Christopher's Challenge has been selected as the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for August 2017.  Based on her family's experience with Leukemia, Kathy Costello started Christopher's Challenge in 1998 with a mission to pay for the typing of potential bone marrow donors, support patients and families during unbearable times, as well as raise money through fund raisers for hospital bone marrow units.  Their active participation in our Chamber events and the role they play in delivering health related-community service to our greater area is very much appreciated!

Luke Photography has been chosen as the July Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.   Patrick Luke has over 29 years of experience.  He explains  "I specialize in the portrait and commercial/industrial market, where I can more readily apply my understanding of lighting to create unique and visually pleasing images, which really tell the story of the person that I'm photographing, or show the product or facility in new and interesting light.  Whether the subject is a high school senior, a CEO, or a new technological product, let's make it noteworthy."

Jim Bilotta Elected New Chamber President!  At the Chamber's Annual Member Meeting in June, Jim Bilotta was elected Fairport-Perinton Chamber President. Jim is the Branch Manager of Lyons National Bank, Fairport.   For the last 2 years,   Jim has been the Chamber Vice President.   Previously, Jim served on the board and has been a key contributor to the 4th of July 5k Race, Parade, and Party-in-the-Park.    Out-going President Paul West is moving to Florida with his family. Paul has been a member of the Chamber for the last five years; four of which he has served as President.

Fred Grabosky, The Regional Director of Woodcliff Operations, accepted the Chamber's May Business of the Month award on behalf of Woodcliff Hotel and Spa.  The Chamber has had a long-term relationship with Woodcliff, enjoying their facilities and staff involvement in Chamber events. Casa Larga Vineyards has been chosen as the March Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.  Founders Andy and Ann Colaruotolo shared a vision and a passion for producing good wine that could be shared with friends and family.  The winery started as a hobby and then flourished into a business.  The first vines were planted in 1974.  Just as time marched on from hobby to business, so did the ownership.  With the passing of founders Mr. and Mrs. "C," the Colaruotolo children, Andrea C. O'Neil, Mary Jo Telesca, and John Colaruotolo run the business today.  Throughout the business, family tradition is enjoyed and furthered.

Maplewood Estates has been chosen as the January Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce.  The Maplewood Estates, 55 Ayrault Road in Fairport, opened in 1999.   Residents reside in studio, one and two-bedroom apartments and have access to a large dining area and a private dining room.  The Maplewood community is very family oriented, with larger spaces that can accommodate extended family gatherings.  The staff reinforces this family atmosphere as they interact with residents and other staff members.  The staff also includes a full-time nurse, from Interim Health Care.
