Visibility within the Chamber community and beyond is fueled by your active participation. In addition to attending Chamber events and Committee involvement, active participation also happens online.

The Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce manages the following digital spaces: website, monthly Enewsletters, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, local digital media through Public Relations. As a Chamber member, we want to represent you and your business on these online spaces to provide visibility.   3. COMMENT and SHARE
    1. use names & businesses - as you type and the name is revealed, click on the name
    2. use keywords attract search engines 
    3. note event attendance plans
    4. list by name, title, and company whom you have invited to attend a Chamber event  (as you type & the name is revealed, click on the name)
    5. post-event reflections
    6. add relevant information

  • another online citation effecting search, but not as influential as Google My Business and Facebook to local search results

  1. @PerintonChamber (or click “t” from Chamber website)
  2. look for “following;” not there, click “follow”
  3. view Chamber tweets on your newsfeed or visit @PerintonChamber
  4. REPLY AND RETWEET
    • use @PerintonChamber and other handles within post (as you type and the name is revealed, click on the name)  – not at the beginning of post (limits distribution to your page and the @ page)
    • use #EventName and #keyword for search (don’t use symbols normally used in words)
  5. view others talking about the #event or #keyword by clicking on it (active link)
